I have dedicated myself to my legal community for the past 25 years. My involvement in the Florida Association for Women Lawyers, Palm Beach County Bar Association and the Legal Aid Society has been so personally fulfilling that about six years ago, I began service on The Florida Bar Board of Governors. This has given me the opportunity to serve in leadership alongside so many talented, brilliant lawyers working to improve our profession. I’m on the Executive Committee and Strategic Planning Committee, and I’ve served as Past Chair of the Communications Committee, Disciplinary Review Committee and 2013 Annual Convention. I have been traveling around the state for the past few months, and enjoyed meeting so many incredible lawyers at firms, voluntary bar meetings, and Florida Bar Section and Committee meetings. I have enjoyed discussing the important issues facing our profession, how the practice of law has changed and how the Bar can help lawyers in this new marketplace. I have experience as a government lawyer in the public defender’s office, and I’ve spent most of my career as the managing partner of a small law firm in West Palm Beach. I’m married to Scott, and we have two amazing daughters: Talia, 20, and Rebecca, 17.
